The Founder’s Story
Having always had a keen interest in interior design I would often find myself constantly re decorating my home and those of my friends and family. My inspiration would come from designers such as Juan O’Gorman with his bold use of vibrant colour pallets, Jean-Michel Frank and his Art-deco minimalist but sumptuous use of textiles or Florence Broadhurst and her application of simplified flora and fauna.
Roll forward to 26th March 2023 and in the early hours of this day my husband, Daryl, sadly lost his life at just 36 years of age. Snatched from existence on our planet and in a nanoscopic fraction of a second, my life had been crushed and turned upside down.
Fast forward 12 months and I had resigned from my job, waved goodbye and entered a depleted existence of isolation and sole venture.
Struggling to find my new path in life and with the thoughts that I had no purpose, I entered some very dark holes searching for the “new me “but was somehow learning to survive.
But along came hope, well Daryl to be precise in a dream and I know…… what a huge cliché!
With him telling me to get on with it, that was it! that is what I was missing! I needed to live my life doing something that I love!
With those words engrained in my mind I decided to take my passion by the horns and go into business on my own, creating my own consultancy where I can share my enthusiasm for colour, design and inspire others to “go with it“.
It is incredible and always astounding that with just the change of a wall covering, placement of furniture or the laying of new floor coverings, how this can make you feel serenity and calmness or vibrancy and luxury. With the smallest of changes often bringing the greatest rewards!
My passion for creating beautiful rooms goes far beyond the obvious, I believe strongly in sourcing products that are sustainable and have a low environmental impact. I also believe that interior design and the sharing of my expertise should be open to all, from all backgrounds and to all budgets.
